The Origin Story of the Slaying Ordinary Movement

For those who’ve been called “too much” but never felt like enough.

Slaying Ordinary was born from one simple truth:
The system isn’t broken. It was built this way—and it was never built for us.

After two decades in HR, I watched the same cycle on repeat:
✔️ Diverse talent hired, then sidelined
✔️ Neurodivergent voices silenced by “professionalism”
✔️ The loudest person in the room mistaken for the smartest one

And then at 43, everything clicked—I was diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental disorder.
All the times I’d been labelled “difficult,” “intense,” or “uncoachable”?
It wasn’t me. It was the box I was being forced to shrink into.

Slaying Ordinary is my rebellion—and maybe yours, too.

It started as a blog. Then became a brand. Now it's a movement:

    • To speak up without apology

    • To unmask and still be respected

    • To thrive without conforming

Our merch? It’s armor. It’s identity. It’s a middle finger to systems that demand silence.
Our printables and tools? They're designed for chaotic minds that need less noise and more clarity.
    Our community? Neurodivergent-led. Anti-fluff. Pro-truth.

If you’ve ever felt “off,” “other,” or “outside”—you’re our people.
    Welcome to Slaying Ordinary.
We’re not here to fit in. We’re here to build better.
